Although this machine isn’t directly used in production, it is still a key part of our business, enhancing both tool making and tool repair capabilities. By upgrading to a more modern machine, we will improve our capacity and capability.
We chose the Agie Charmille EDM Spark Eroder due to its increased accuracy and reliability. By using an EDM spark eroder, we are able to create complex mould cavity shapes in hardened tool steels without the need to hard machine them. The improved precision of this machine allows us to be more accurate in our tool production, which is then translated into more accurate moulded production parts.
