Escalating the future of the London Underground

In one of our most exciting projects to date, we have been working with Transport for London to improve the durability of their escalators.

In the past the escalator combs have been made of aluminium, but in partnership with TFL we have been developing a suitable durable plastic alternative. The result has been particularly successful and trails have been done on escalators throughout the capital. TFL are currently in the process of refurbishing 425 escalators across London’s Underground Stations.
